I walk among the dead long gone,
Near granite stones so quiet and still,
Searching for the ones I've never known,
Loved ones wishes to fulfill.

They have passed into the quiet land,
Where all must someday be,
And from the depths of earthen soil,
They whisper sweet to me.

Shadow voices, softly calling,
Among the stones I stop to hear,
Stories from the darkened depths,
To my ears so sweet and clear.

Come and take a look at me,
I have been here so all alone,
Hoping someone would remember,
My name here on this stone.

We are the memories that we hope,
You will pass to others too,
So those who come behind will be,
Forever linked to you.

A gentle breeze blows over,
The stones that inscribe each name,
And whispers in a silent voice,
We are so glad you came.

To Cry Out Loud

Tears can be from misery,
like those in stress and strain;
moments when one can-not see
relief from ill and pain.

Tears we get when we regret
that some things will not change;
but live in hope to strive and cope
with courage to sustain.

And there are tears of heartbreak too..
when one feels all alone;
when friends you knew are far and few,,
and never call by phone.

Then there are tears as sadness calls,
when loved ones pass away,
and many tears of sorrow falls,
in showers of dismay.

But, there are tears of happiness,
of joy and delight;
tears that soothe the heavy breast,
and make the wrong seem right!

Tears of knowing inner peace
that come from when we pray,
for every tear that comes to bear,
 will wash the hurt away.

So, go ahead and cry instead
of holding it all in;
and gender has no bearing here,
and crying is no sin!

How God Plants

Spring is finally in the air
With flowers blooming scent,
And with the warming temperatures
We see that Winter's spent.

So now it's time to plant the seeds
Which make our gardens grow,
And soon with showers in the Spring
Each growing thing will show.

Then as we weed and fertilize
And tend our garden's ground,
We partner with the Lord above
For fruits that are profound.

And so with gratitude I smile
And bend my knee in prayer,
I thank the Lord for all these gifts
And pray that I might share.

God's Promise

If you believe Jesus shed His,
Blood and died for our sins.
God hath promised eternal life,
And a home in Heaven,

God hath not promised skies of blue,
Or sunshine without rain,
God hath not promised a rainbow after every storm,
He did not promise joy without sorrow.

Nor did He promise peace without pain,
But God promised strength for today,
Rest for the laborers,
Eternal life for the believer!

Help from above and a light for the way,
Godís promises are true.
Just like it says in John 3:16,

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 K.J.V.

Only Love

Love can sometimes be fresh.
Love can sometimes be new.
Love can sometimes make you happy.
And sometimes make you blue.

Love is the light that radiates from your eyes.
Love is your image floating in the skies.

Love is true.
And darling, the only love for me is you.

Try To Remember

Try to remember the way we once were
Rainbows reaching the sky
Try to remember the songs from the birds
In beach ruffled winds
White wings as they fly
Can we remember the days that were good
And forget
When tears fell from our eyes

I wish we could stay in forgotten times
When all of our family we could feel
Go back to when we were children
And those who loved us were real

Back then, I never dreamed
They would all be in heaven one day
So I try to remember how it was
And always care for those gone away

Peace in the wavelets
Ocean spray, pretty, green
I wish we could have those picnics again

God, thank you for days that we had
I will try to remember
Loved one's happy faces anew
Then I will close my eyes
and in memories, dream it is true

Do you remember me
The people's poet
In memory of Christina and Nancy

In My Mind's Eye

As the undulating waves swish over the sand,
The aroma of the salt seas can be smelled on the land,
The Herring Gulls glide over the sea searching for food,
While a gentle breeze blows on your body and hands,

The warm sun rays illuminate the sailboats on the sea,
You can see cabin cruisers bobbing up and down in the wake of each other,
Fishermen can be seen waiting patiently on the shore for a " nibble",
While children are making sand castles in the sand with their Dad and Mother,

What a peaceful time for everyone to enjoy the tranquility of the day,
This is a brief pause in one's daily life, relaxing at the sea shore
Hoping to repeat this holiday soon and again,
The beauty of the rolling waves is soporific, as the breaking waves roar, Amen.

 God Always Wins

If ever there was a night so wrong,
It's giving praises to Satanic thrones -
Giving him credit when everything's amiss;
Forgetting God and who He is.

For, in the night, there should be song;
Rejoicing in light until it is shone ...
Letting God carry you through,
Until He's shown His love toward you.

It doesn't matter the tactic or scare,
Our Heavenly Father is always there.
For when the battle comes to an end,
We're reminded again ~ God always wins!
