Thanksgiving

As autumn peaks in richness
The colors of fall
Golden leaves and crimson reds
The highlights of it all
The blessing we were given
By our Father from above
Will be shared with our family
On this special day of love
The aroma of spices, the cranberry sauce
Pumpkin pies cooling, upon a table's top
Turkey and stuffing, roasting near
Hands joined together, in grace and prayer
As beauty of this season
Shines down from Heaven's light
The closeness of family
Sharing God's holy love

Thanksgiving Blessings

Thanksgiving Blessings
Come from above
Gratitude from Jesus
Sent with His love.

A Father praying, at the table
For his bounty, so full
A Mother teaching her Children
The golden rule.

As Dad thanks Jesus,
With a smile on his face
For all that has been given
To his family and for his Grace.

A Mother baking, and the smell
Of her pumpkin, apple, and minced
meat pies;
Thankful for her Children
They are the apple of her eye...

Love and blessings
All gathered in
A house full of laughter,
Filled to the brim.

As we, as a nation, come together
On this Thanksgiving Day.
Let us fight for our freedom and
Let it be in our hearts forever to stay.

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Give your praises to God
And let the whole world see...

See a better tomorrow
Right around the bend.

My prayer this Thanksgiving
Is for all that lost loved ones
To let their hearts all mend.

This Time Of Year

There are some things that indicate,
This special time of year,
The pumpkins carved for Halloween,
And football fans that cheer.

There are the autumn leaves that fall,
And settle here and there,
And folks that rake on Saturdays,
To pile them up with care.

And then there are the chimney tops
That hint of warmth within,
And smells of pies and baking things,
So good they make you grin.

With family then all gathered 'round,
A table blessed with food,
We thank our Father up above,
And show our gratitude.

Yes, fall is filled with many things,
We feel in many ways,
And so I wish you love and hope,
And Happy Holidays.

Every Day Is Thanksgiving

My Precious Lord thank you,
For the greatest blessing e'er to hold,
You washed my sins away,
Creating purity in my soul.

I give thanks unto you sweet Lord,
For eyes that can clearly see,
For hands to touch the ones I love,
And to feel them touching me.

Thank you Heavenly Father,
For the ability to move around,
For the strength to live day to day,
In your love that flows unbound.

I thank you Jesus for divine fortitude,
When tribulations I am enduring,
Your blessings cover me in a holy shroud,
Making each day a special thanksgiving.

Jesus Christ's His Blessed Name

Let us come before the Lord's Presence,
On this Thanksgiving Day,
With humble hearts for great affluence,
As He's Lord of our way.

And let us tell the Lord He's our love,
Yes, He's Thanksgiving Day,
He's our new life and heaven above,
With Him we'll always stay.

The Lord's so gracious and merciful,
All days are Thanksgiving,
For His gifts bless keeping us fruitful,
Oh, thank Him for living.

Gather ‘round the table one and all,
Thanksgiving's the Lord's fame,
He gave His Life by taking our fall,
Jesus Christ's His Blessed Name.

Thanksgiving

November air brings crispness
As we move through the cold.
An apple laced with cinnamon
a taste so pure and bold.

The aroma of hot cider
drifts slowly through the air.
Down the painted mountainside
to find you standing there.

Your smile is warm and gentle
you take comfort in your stand.
Thanksgiving now upon us
you reach out and take my hand.

Family, friends and loving hearts
bring a familiar sound.
Pumpkin pie and children's smiles,
stuffed turkey does abound.

A celebration of thankfulness
as leaves fall from the trees.
Our loving warmth and prayers for hope
are treasures on the breeze.

Thanksgiving 2003

As much as I would like to be able to return to the Thanksgivings of my youth, it is not possible ---
Except for memories.

As much as I wish our world was peaceful and nonviolent, it is not ---
Except in my heart.

As much as I wish my family was perfect and love was unconditional, it is not ---
Except in my dreams for tomorrow.

But I have many things to be thankful for:
Life
Family and friends
Shelter and food
Good times and bad.
Happy times and sad.
Love.
Memories.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday,
No gifts to be exchanged … except love.

Thanks for life, Dear God.
Thanks for family and friends.
Thanks for shelter and food,
Thanks for Your love which never ends.

Thanks for the good, Dear God.
Thanks for the bad, too.
For it's from the challenges in life
That we grow closer to You.

Thanksgiving helps me realize
Love is the important thing
That nothing else really matters
Only love … can happiness bring.

My Thanksgiving Thoughts

A time for sharing memories
As we reminise and remember
A time with Family and Friends
At this "Special" time in November

Whether we're close or whether we're far
Our love will travel the miles
giving us heartfelt feelings
that show through all our smiles

I wish Thanksgiving came more often
making our dreams come true
But be assured - I promise
My thoughts are always filled with you
